Not metal but I highly recommend Frankie and the Witch Fingers' new album Trash Classic. Psych rock with some great forward momentum and a bit of edge to it.
This album makes me realize that Gruesome is not a copycat of Death, but that Death is a genre on its own, and that Gruesome is an excellent performer of this genre.
