Deafheaven absolutely COOKED on this one. Probably their best since Sunbather. Which reminds me that I will forever regret not buying one of the "pink lettering on black" Sunbather shirts they made, now I can't find it in my size.

So happy that Sarmat put out a new EP; stylistically their music is exactly what I want (more sax in metal please)

Curious about the new Grey Aura, I bought the first Zwart Vierkant album after hearing the singles from Zwart Vierkant: Slostuk, but it was just 6 euros so it was a great blind-ish buy. I'm not going to get to 10000 purchases on Bandcamp when I'm a decaying husk of a man by NOT buying stuff, now am I?

Grey Aura will take some time, for me. I loved them since the Willem Barentsz album and with every new record I'm not sure if I'm still on board, this one is no exception. But it's exciting and refreshing stuff everytime, nonetheless. I'll give it more listens!

I listened last night and it’s extremely my jam but also it is a dense work!

Your thoughts on Amenra reflect kind of how I feel about a lot of slower, more atmospheric metal in general. I get bored listening to it but find it AMAZING live. Windhand is the arch example for me: can’t make it through an album, but their live shows left an impression on me.

Oh yeah I have the same with Windhand. On the other hand there is a lot of funeral doom I love to listen to at home.
