Great write ups! I didn't know Critical Defiance was dropping new music already. Their album last year was in my top 10.
I think you missed that Periphery dropped a new single. I know that the metal community is split on whether they're metal, but I think so and I feel like in the past you've included them, so seems worth mentioning.
The new Katatonia is an interesting one: it's completely true to their sound and ethos, but at the same time feels much more "rock" than usual. "Colossal Shade" actually has some swagger! Really good record though- I just published a review on my substack- check it out and comment if you have a chance. Thanks!

I'll have to be honest: I really didn't like it. I'm glad it found it's listeners and I wish them the world. But it's really not my thing..
