To The Teeth: Old Man Gloom, Candlemass, Brutus, Kreator
Welcome to the fifth To The Teeth newsletter. I’ll bring you up to date with new heavy music. Mostly metal, but some won’t make it into the Metal Archives I’m sure.
This is not my week, I guess. Although I'm a Pearl Jam fan, and there's a lot of really heavy stuff out that I didn't really know beforehand. Plus, there's a surprise Old Man Gloom record which is beautiful and cathartic, and I just ordered my favorite Type O Negative record on vinyl for far too much money. But yeah. These are strange times right? I'm as anxious and uncertain as I'm sure a lot of you are. I hope you'll enjoy over 50 new songs in the playlist, and I hope you're all safe and healthy.
As always: listen to everything listed here (well, most of it) on the playlist on Spotify, check out the Facebook page and if you want to support all of this, head over to Patreon! (I’m funding this newsletter with it).

There are new albums, ep’s, splits and demo’s out from Old Man Gloom (sludge/noise from the USA - this is a second album, not the one announced before!), Candlemass (epic doom from Sweden), Wake (death/grind from Canada), Temple of Void (death/doom from the USA), Igorrr (black/electronic/avantgarde from France), a split from The Ruins of Beverast and Mourning Beloveth (atmoblack/doom from Germany and doom/death from Ireland), Deranged (brutal death from Sweden), Telepathy (sludge/post from the UK), Departure Chandelier (black from Canada/USA), Perdition Temple (black/death from the USA), Moon Destroys (prog from the USA - ex members of Torche and Royal Thunder), Omega Infinity (cosmic black from Australia), Spotlights (post/doom/shoegaze from the USA), Me And That Man (dark folk from Poland - Nergal's soloproject), Solothus (death/doom from Finland), a split from Revenant Marquis & Lamp Of Murmuur (raw black from the UK and black from the USA) plus a demo from that same Lamp of Murmuur, Mamaleek (experimental black/post from the USA), WuW (prog/post from France), Elfsgedroch (black from the Netherlands), Destroyer of Light (doom from the USA), Velnias (blackened folk/doom from the USA), Black Vice (black from the USA), Amnutseba (black from France), Irist (prog death from the USA), Nekrovault (death from Germany), Warp Chamber (death from the USA), Dodenbezweerder (raw black/ambient from the Netherlands - Gnaw Their Tongues' Maurice de Jong is behind this), Crypt Dagger (speed/black/thrash from Germany), Aeternam (symphonic folk/death from Canada), Nox Formulae (black from Greece), Angerot (death from the USA), Aodon (atmoblack from France), Arcada (black from Peru), Void of Sleep (stoner/sludge from Italy), Olhava (atmoblack from Russia - forgot this one last week), Cosmic Atrophy (tech/prog death from the USA/Canada), Membaris (black from Germany), Hypnochron (stoner/doom from the USA), Walk Through Fire (sludge/doom from Sweden), Hornet Murmuration (black/punk from the USA - it's frm the guy behind Kostnatění), Hollow Woods (black from Finland), Macbeth (heavy from Germany), Mazikeen (symphonic death/black from Australia), a split from Chrome Waves & Gridfailure (post black from the USA and noise/experimental from the USA), Enepsigos (black from Norway), Graceless (death/doom from the Netherlands), Automb (black from the USA), Nomad (death from Poland), plus a live album from Ayreon (prog from the Netherlands with an international cast. And let me brag about this: I was there and it was an absolutely mindblowing evening).
Plus: there are not one, but two new albums out from Nine Inch Nails (industrial/alternative from the USA). They're new chapters in their Ghosts series, so it's an instrumental, ambient affair. If you want to feel reassured, check out V. If you want to wallow in your anxiousness, go to VI.
