🌶️ To The Teeth: Iron Maiden, Animals as Leaders, Der Weg Einer Freiheit, Full of Hell
New albums
🌶️ Iron Maiden - Senjutsu (nwobhm from the UK)
This is album number 17. Seven fucking teen. There is now over sixteen hours of Iron Maiden to drown in. Can you imagine what a treasure that is for a kid who just discovers the magic of this band? And their iconic imagery, logo, vision, status, influence, and (not to forget) riffs will continue to lure in new kids. This seventeenth record doesn't stop that - to the contrary: these old farts refuse to oldfart together their music and have made with Senjutsu a creative and adventurous record.
There's more: like four I, Voidhanger releases: Defacement (death/black from the Netherlands), Sermon of Flames (raw black from Ireland), Sol Kia (psych black from Belgium - with a member of Neptunian Maximalism) and a split from Thecodontion & Vessel of Iniquity (atmospheric death from Italy & black/death noise from the UK). Plus: Portrait (heavy from Sweden), Claymorean (power metal from Serbia), Beyond Grace (death from the UK), Antediluvian (black/death from Canada), and Issolei (🌶️ black from Norway - also 1, 2 ep's).
New singles
There are new songs out from: Animals as Leaders (🌶️ progressive instrumental/djent from the USA), Full of Hell (powerviolence/grind from the USA), Avatar (melodeath/nu metal from Sweden), Der Weg Einer Freiheit (🌶️ black from Germany), Deserted Fear (death from Germany), Antichrist Siege Machine (black/death from the USA), Zeal & Ardor (post-black from Switzerland), Portrayal of Guilt (post-hardcore from the USA) and Negură Bunget (progressive/atmospheric black from Romania).
Next week
I’m looking forward to next week because of: Metallica's Blacklist, Andrew W.K., Chrome Waves, Mehenet, Lvcifyre, Pa Vesh En, Aborted and Hail Spirit Noir.
(Yes, I've mentioned some of those last week, but I was wrong. So so wrong. They're out next week. Sorry! This also kind of explains why I didn't tip Iron Maiden last week. It's a mess. At least I'm housebroken.)
Have a great weekend! - Peter
