🌶️ To The Teeth: Fluisteraars, Hooded Menace, Leprous, Spirit Adrift, Ex Deo, Turnstile, Be'lakor & Omnium Gatherum
Two new albums you need to hear
🌶️ Fluisteraars - Gegrepen door de geest der zielsontuilink (black from the Netherlands)
This band doesn't want to do the same thing twice, and that's a good thing. Their last record Bloem was open and light, accessible to an extent. This new one is much more direct and raw, almost a jam at times. Its not as easy to love, but it's a very good listen.
🌶️ Hooded Menace - The Tritonus Bell (death/doom from Finland)
Yes a funny name. But funny music, this is not. It's dark and brooding, full of twisty grooves. In fact, the band ditched a little bit of death for a little bit of extra doom plus pinch of gothic, and I love them more for it.
There's more: Leprous (prog from Norway), Esoctrilihum (🌶️ black from France - yes, a surprise new ep), Ex Deo (symphonic death from Canada), Spirit Adrift (heavy/doom from the USA), White Stones (progressive death from Spain - side project of Opeth's Martin Méndez), Wormwood (melodic black from Sweden), Turnstile (🌶️ hardcore/pop from the USA), Wormwitch (black/crust from Canada) Thyrfing (folk metal from Sweden), Oxygen Destroyer (black/death/thrash from the USA), Jinjer (djent/groove/metalcore from Ukraine), Serpent Column (🌶️ avantgarde black from the USA), a split from Botanist & Thief (experimental post-black & experimental electronic from the USA), Nunslaughter (death from the USA), Matt Harvey (instrumental soundscapes - vocalist/guitarist from Exhumed, Gruesome) and Arbulubra (psychedelic/atmospheric black from Switzerland), the rest is in the playlist!
New singles
There are new songs out from: Be'lakor (melodeath from Australia), Omnium Gatherum (melodeath from Finland), Mono (instrumental psych rock from Japan), Møl (post-black/shoegaze from Denmark),Lucifer (heavy/doom from the UK/Sweden/Germany), Poppy (industrial/groove/pop from the USA), Mortiferum (death/doom from the USA), Rivers of Nihil (prog tech death from the USA), the rest is in the playlist!
